Aussie Outback Oasis is a fully tourist park offering 10 acres of spacious shady parkland surroundings, ultra clean modern facilities and extra large drive through, powered/unpowered sites catering for every style of traveller.
If you are looking for a little bit of luxury in the outback, our self-contained cabins and deluxe villas are sure to impress. So come and see why people love staying in our friendly park as you explore the rich heritage of Charters Towers. Experience for yourself what all the talk is about! |
| Nearby Attractions: |
There is plenty to see and do in the area, whether is it a half or a full day outing. Thirty to sixty minutes west you come across the small villages of Homestead with its murals depicting the town, and Pentland with its art gallery.
To the east approximately one hour’s drive you come to Ravenswood - an old gold mining town, where nowadays you can just stroll around and explore.
The perfect place to take a picnic lunch and indulge in the surroundings is the Burdekin Falls Dam. To do something different go to the Dalrymple Sale Yards on a Wednesday when thousands of cattle are sold, or take a stroll through the large parks in town.
From the Towers Hill lookout you can see how Charters Towers has grown from a gold mining town to what it is today. Other attractions are the Venus Gold Battery, old stock exchange, city hall, Zara Clark Museum, miner’s cottage, world theatre, and Rotary Lookout.
Remember watching a flick at the drive-in? Tors Drive-in offers one of the few remaining opportunities in Australia to relive those great memories.
Charters Towers is Country Music Capital during late April and early May every year with the staging of three major events – the all Australian Jamboree, Ten Days in the Towers and the Country Music Festival. |
| Special Activities: |
We have a great salt water rock pool, complete with waterfall and wonderful shaded gardens - so you can take a swim or just relax by the side of the pool. The park is an oasis when you have come to Charters Towers from the outback.
We also have a children’s playground with swings and have just installed a jumping pillow for kids of all ages! |
